Tracy M. Collins is a co-founder of Collins Coaching & Consulting and brings more than two decades of experience in education, special education, and social-emotional learning. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Louisiana Tech University, where she graduated cum laude, a Master of Education, and a Texas principal certification. Her career in education began as a special education paraprofessional, and it was there she discovered her passion for reaching and developing young people.
Tracy spent years as an assistant principal across multiple Title I campuses in large school district in North Texas, where she saw firsthand that students can't learn when their basic needs aren't being met. She responded by building systems that addressed those gaps: hiring the first Family Engagement Specialist at her campus, providing meals for families at evening meetings, creating academic enrichment activities designed for whole-family participation, and implementing child care services so parents could actually attend. She also brought Hope Squad, a national suicide prevention program, to her campus and created a Student Care Team built around the CASEL Framework of Core Competencies.
Tracy calls herself an empowerment and enlightenment coach, and her work at Collins Coaching & Consulting reflects everything her career has been building toward. She helps clients recognize their own worth and stop apologizing for it. Her deep understanding of the education system, family dynamics, and social-emotional development makes her an invaluable advocate for families navigating special education and life transitions.
